Santa Fe

Our goal was to get to the nearest place with cooler weather – that wasn’t on fire – and this is where we chose.  The RV park provided a list of recommended area restaurants and this one jumped right off the page:  Blue Corn Cafe & Brewery (emphasis added).  We were soon enjoying chips & salsa, red & green enchiladas and their Gold Medal Oatmeal Stout.  On the way to the restaurant and only a couple of blocks away from the RV park we passed the Santa Fe Brewing Company.  We waited until the next day to check out their tap room and it was worth the wait.  Karen had their Nut Brown Ale and I tried the Java Stout and the State Pen Porter.

While there we got a restaurant recommendation for dinner and we gave it a try – La Choza.  Excellent New Mexico style Mexican food!  We’re not ready to make a permanent move here but we did just sign up for two more nights!
